Settings → Team

Teams are your groups (Design, Production, Studio…); People are the named individuals who own products. The People list feeds the product Owner dropdown.

Teams

Teams are your groups or departments. Exactly one team is the Default, applied to new products.

  • Add a team: enter a Name (e.g. "Design"), optionally check Make this the default for new products, and click Add team.
  • Each team has a Default badge or a Make default button — setting a new default clears the old one.
  • Renaming autosaves; the trash icon removes.

People

People are the individuals who own/lead products. Each can belong to a team — product lists show their name with the team as a sub-label.

  • Add a person: choose or type a Name, pick a Team (or "No team"), and click Add person.
  • If your store grants the read_users Shopify scope, the Name field becomes a picker of your Shopify staff; otherwise it's a free-text field.
  • Name and team both autosave; the trash icon removes.

Set it up

  1. Add your teams and mark one as default.
  2. Add your people, assigning each to a team.
  3. New products will default their owner to the default team; you assign a specific person on each product.
