Settings → Team

Teams are your groups (Design, Production, Studio…); People are the named individuals who own products. The People list feeds the product Owner dropdown.

Where: setlist → Settings → Team (the page is titled "Teams") Feeds: People feed the product Owner dropdown; team names appear beside people and seed the responsibility options on testing presets

Teams

Teams are your groups or departments. You can mark one team as Default. The default is retained for older team/role compatibility data; it does not choose a person as the visible Owner of a new product.

  • Add a team: enter a Name (e.g. "Design"), optionally check Make this the default for new products, and click Add team.
  • Each team has a Default badge or a Make default button — setting a new default clears the old one.
  • Renaming autosaves; the trash icon removes.

People

People are the individuals who own/lead products. Each can belong to a team — product lists show their name with the team as a sub-label.

  • Add a person: type a Name, pick a Team (or "No team"), and click Add person.
  • Name and team both autosave; the trash icon removes.

About the staff picker. setlist can offer a dropdown of your active Shopify staff instead of a typed name, but that needs Shopify's protected read_users scope, which the app doesn't request today. Until it does, Name is a free-text field — type whatever your team calls each person.

Set it up

  1. Add your teams and, if useful, mark one as default.
  2. Add your people, assigning each to a team.
  3. Assign a specific person as each product's Owner. New products start Unassigned, regardless of the default team.

Owner terminology: a product's Owner means a person. A testing preset's Owner is currently a text responsibility label seeded from team names — not a person assignment. See Testing presets.
